Keith Warner
Keith Warner is the Founder and Principal Consultant at Fresh Data Services.
In 2019, Keith recognized a real need in the hospitality industry for trusted, experienced, and objective technology consultants at small and mid-size restaurant companies. It was that summer when he founded Fresh Data Services and grew his business to what it is today.
Keith first caught the hospitality bug in college waiting tables while home during the summer at one of the last remaining Howard Johnson’s restaurants on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Throughout his career, he has enjoyed the fast pace, camaraderie, and dynamic energy of the industry. His experience working inside restaurants from the front of the house to the back, and across various management and technology consulting roles, has shown what it takes to run a profitable enterprise.
In the Carolinas he ingrained himself in southern hospitality and ran bar operations for a bustling college-town restaurant and brewery. This included learning first-hand the art and science of craft brewing and distilling. It was here that he ventured towards the business side of restaurants, helping manage P&Ls, hiring staff, onboarding, streamlining procurement, negotiating vendor deals, and costing out and engineering recipes and menus. Here, he also got his first taste of implementing cost-saving systems such as the Accubar inventory system and the ScheduleFly labor scheduling platform. It was here, he began a love of programming POS systems and other technologies to optimize operational efficiencies and food costs.
Building on his passion for hospitality technology, he soon landed in Boston at CrunchTime, the leading SaaS back office operations platform in the industry. Keith held various roles across the organization across a range of departments, including, client services, product development, and product management. Afterwards, he used his highly demanded technical skills to springboard into a technology leadership position at Sotheby’s in New York City. Afterwards, came multiple opportunities with startups in the Fintech space in Toronto and Silicon Valley.
Keith holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Penn State, a bachelor’s with honors in Computer Science from Harvard University, and a Master of Science in Finance from the Zicklin School of Business. An avid CrossFit, techie, and history enthusiast, he resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two large dogs, Kip and Kilo.
